Two arrested after burglary interrupted

Two suspects were arrested when police were called to the scene of an ongoing break-in.

Officers attended an address in Derby Road, Bramcote, shortly before 11pm on Tuesday night when a group of people were reported to be breaking into a garage.

During a search of the local area two suspects were identified and a number of items were recovered in evidence.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 27-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit burglary.

They have both been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detective Inspector Nick Hall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "Thanks to the very quick and effective response of officers on the ground we have two suspects in custody. Our investigation is ongoing."
