Officers investigating a report of a window being damaged after an altercation are appealing for information and witnesses.

Police were called to Harley Street in Lenton at around 7.45pm on Thursday night after a man was alleged to have been in possession of a knife in an altercation.

A window at a house in the street had been broken in the incident and a television had also been damaged.

Police are now working hard to establish the circumstances and have appealed for anyone who has any information to come forward.

Sergeant Paul Whitehead, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “No one is believed to have been injured in Thursday’s incident but we are making enquiries to understand what happened.

“It is believed that there was an altercation that led to the window being broken but we would ask anyone who may have seen something to come forward.

“We take reports of knife crime and criminal damage very seriously and will always thoroughly investigate reports with the view to taking action against those found responsible.

“Anyone who saw something suspicious or has any information on what happened is asked to contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 705 of 15 July 2021.”
