A group of people are believed to have thrown a brick at a window to a Boots store before stealing items from the shop.

Officers investigating the incident, which is reported to have happened in High Road in Beeston at around 3am on Sunday 18 July, are now appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.

Police quickly attended the scene after an intruder alarm was tripped at the store.

When officers arrived, they saw that the window had been smashed and that several items had been taken, the full value of which is yet to have been established.

Inspector Simon Riley, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “It is totally unacceptable that someone would do this and we are committed to finding those responsible.  We will be following all lines of enquiry available to us to try and identify those responsible

“We work closely with businesses in the area to ensure that they are properly supported by officers.

“Not only has this incident had a financial impact on the business but it is also incredibly worrying for the staff that work there and we will not tolerate this kind of behaviour.

“I would urge anyone who has any information on what happened to get in touch with us as soon as possible on 101 quoting incident number 141 of 18 July 2021.”
