Man breaks jaw and cheek bone in fight

A man suffered a broken jaw and cheek bone after he was hit with a baseball bat in a car park fight.

Local residents witnessed the fight after two cars crashed into each other and the occupants then attacked each other with weapons.

The man remains in hospital for treatment, while a woman also suffered injuries to her arm.

Officers have moved quickly to arrest four people in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Charlotte Henson, of Nottinghamshire Police, is leading the investigation.

She said: "This was a violent incident with weapons which saw one man needing hospital treatment.

"Response officers were instantly on scene after we received the report, at around 9.30pm on Tuesday in Ilkeston Road, Bramcote, and searched the area.

"It was reported a group of people got out of three vehicles and were involved in an altercation with weapons including a baseball bat.

"Following our enquiries three 23-year-old women have been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. A 27-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and criminal damage.

"A car involved in the incident also suffered substantial damage.

"Police patrols have been increased since the incident and will remain in the area to offer community reassurance.

"We are now appealing to anyone who saw the fight and has any information to come forward to help with our enquiries.

"If anyone has any private CCTV, dash-cam or mobile phone footage, please contact us as it may be helpful to the enquiry.
