Video footage released following unusual robbery.

Police have released CCTV footage of a street robbery where one of the offenders hugged and kissed the victim pretending that they knew her.

It happened at around 8.20am on Saturday 17 June on Bobbers Mill Road in Nottingham. A woman was on her mobile phone on the street when a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra pulled up and a woman got out and approached her. The woman hugged and kissed her on the cheek before forcibly pulling her Asian gold necklace from around her neck.

The video also shows a second woman getting out of the car. Both women then get back in the vehicle and drive off.

The first is described as white, of a slim build, around 30-years-old and wearing makeup.

We don't have a description of the second woman.

We appreciate the CCTV doesn’t display the entire incident, but if you recognize the women or the car or it jogs a memory of something suspicious, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 500 of 17 June 2017.
