Officers investigating a serious collision in Nottingham city centre are appealing directly to the occupants of a white car who may have seen the incident to come forward.

A 20-year old woman remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries following the collision in Wollaton Street at its junction with Talbot Street at around 1.50am today (Thursday 7 June 2018).

We believe the occupants of a white mid-sized family hatchback that was travelling in the same direction as the car involved in the collision may have seen what happened and could have vital information that could help the investigation.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

The road closures and diversions have since been lifted.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55 111, quoting incident number 57 of 7 June 2018. Officers would also like to hear from anyone who has dash-cam footage at around that time.

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
