We would like to say thankyou to the Radford community for their support following Friday’s firearms incident.

Arrests were made and two 16-year-olds have been bailed and a 33-year-old man has been released under investigation

As part of other work being done to tackle violence in the Radford area a number of weapons (pictured) have been recovered.

Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Rob Wilson said: “Our job is to find and arrest those responsible for using weapons to act out violence in communities filled with good people who deserve better.

“It is also to listen and support people living in Radford in being able to live in an area without fear of that violence.  To do that it’s a two way street and Radford has shown us great support over the last few days in dealing with this incident which has helped us make arrests and recover weapons.

“There is no place for weapons and violence on our streets and it is something that won’t be tolerated by good people in good communities.”

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
