Police officer to attend gross misconduct hearing

A police officer has been charged with breaching the standards of professional behaviour in respect of accessing and disclosing confidential information without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.

The conduct alleged amounts to gross misconduct.

The standards of professional behaviour are:Honesty and integrityAuthority, respect and courtesyDiscreditable conductOrders and instructions

The misconduct hearing will be held at Nottinghamshire Police Headquarters at 9.30am on Tuesday 17 April. It is set to conclude on Friday 20 April.  The chairperson has determined the hearing will be held in public.

Conditions of entry: All attendees will need to provide photographic identification on the day. You will also have to sign a document setting out the conditions of entry. Strictly no recording or filming of the proceedings is allowed.
