Two teenagers were voluntarily interviewed on suspicion of possession of a bladed article after being stopped and searched by Nottinghamshire Police's Knife Crime Team.

The boys, aged 15 and 16, were stopped in Southchurch Drive, Clifton, on Saturday (10 February). They have been referred to the Youth Offending Team for intervention.

The action comes as Nottinghamshire Police supports Operation Sceptre, a week-long national campaign on knife crime which runs until Sunday (18 February).

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
