January 12, 2018

Please continue to avoid the area around Nottingham Railway Station while Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue work with British Transport Police (BTP) to extinguish and investigate the fire, which started this morning.

As a partnership we are working really hard to reduce any inconvenience that may be being caused as a result of the fire but everyone’s safety is, of course, of paramount importance.

The emergency services and partners are working together to return the area to normality as soon as possible. It is likely the station may not re-open until tomorrow.

Nobody is believed to have been injured in the incident.

More information will be released as soon as it is available.

If anyone has any information about the fire, please call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 85 of 12/1/18.

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
