A few weeks ago we told you about PD Wolf and PD Monty completing their licensing…remember we also mentioned Eric? Well, we told you it wouldn’t be long until he would be joining them on duty!

PD Eric is trained as a general purpose police dog, so will be going out on shift with his handler, PC Plummer, to provide support to divisional officers at spontaneous and pre-planned incidents. These incidents could be a burglary in progress, a theft of a car or domestic or violence related incident, as well as public order incidents and football policing. He could also be used to track offenders that have made off on foot from the scene of a crime, search for offenders or missing persons, as well as searching for property and detaining offenders making off on foot.

Congratulations PD Eric!

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
