A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a car and a lorry.

The 47-year-old was driving the car on the A611 at Annesley when the crash happened at around 4.30pm today (Monday 4 December), between Blidworth Road and Balls Lane. The lorry driver was unhurt.

The road remains closed while investigations are carried out.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or has dash-cam footage, is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 598 of 4 December 2017.

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
