A 35-year-old man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for raping and physically assaulting two different women.

Jason Wynn, of Hilcot Drive, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today (Friday 13 April 2018) having been found guilty of three counts of rape, one count of grievous bodily harm, three counts actual bodily harm, three counts of assault by beating and breaching a restraining order. He was convicted on 5 January 2018 following a four day trial.

The court heard how Wynn had sex with his victims against their consent. He was also violent towards them, one of the victims suffered broken fingers on separate occasions and a broken nose after being head butted by him. The other victim had been slapped in the face by Wynn numerous times.

Wynn was arrested and charged after the cases were reported to police but he denied the offences all along. Following a thorough investigation and evidence put forward in court, he was found guilty by the jury on all counts.

Detective Inspector Jamie Hill said: "We are pleased with this sentencing. Wynn is clearly a dangerous man and this has been a very complex and lengthy investigation. I'd like to thank all of the officers who worked on these cases and the victims' who were brave enough to come forward and document everything that had happened to them. We will not tolerate this level of violence in Nottinghamshire."
