Man charged with robbery and firearms offences

A 38-year-old man is due in court today in connection with a robbery, an attempted robbery and two firearms offences.

Ian Watson, of Knightsyard Court, Long Eaton, was set to appear before magistrates in Derby following a joint investigation by Nottinghamshire Police and Derbyshire Constabulary.  

Watson has been charged in connection with a robbery at the Borrowash Post Office on 6 June and an attempted robbery at Mahal Convenience Store in Trowell Road, Wollaton, on 24 May. He has also been charged with two offences of possession of a firearm.
