Man arrested in connection with two assaults

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two assaults in The Meadows.

He is being questioned today on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the incidents in Tarbert Close and Manifold Gardens, both on 21 May.

A 33-year-old man was taken to hospital with a stab injury, which was not life-threatening, after the incident in Tarbert Close. 

Another 33-year-old man suffered head injuries in the incident in Manifold Gardens. His injuries were also not life-threatening.

Twenty-six-year-old Teneika Higgins, of Houseman Gardens, The Meadows, has already been charged with causing actual bodily harm in connection with the Manifold Gardens incident and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on 28 June.

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested and released under investigation in connection with the Manifold Gardens assault. However, the boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and is due to appear at Nottingham Youth Court on Friday (8 June).
