Boy arrested following bike thefts and robberies in West Bridgford

Officers have arrested a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of two robberies of a push bike, two thefts of a push bike and an attempted robbery.

Officers were called after a man sustained injuries whilst trying to stop his bike from being stolen in Wilford Lane on 7 April. The 44-year-old was cycling along the tram tracks when a group of six people approached him and tried to steal his bike. He received minor injuries after being kicked and punched before managing to cycle off.

The 15-year-old boy has been bailed.
