Arrest and road closure following stabbing

Part of a road and the entrance to a park has been closed following a stabbing.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre following the incident in Ransom Road, St Ann's, at around 7.50am today (Monday 14 May). His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Officers were on the scene within minutes of the report and a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection to the incident.

A scene has been put in place which requires the closure of part of Ransom Road and the entrance to Coppice Park. Traffic is being diverted.

Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, is asked to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, quoting incident number 109 of 14 May 2018.
