We’re investigating after receiving a report that a 20-year-old man was threatened with a machete whilst he was holding his child at his home in Ruddington.

We were called to Leys Road at around 8.30pm on Saturday 10 March 2018. It’s believed three masked men forced entry to the house before taking cash, jewellery and a Ford KA car.

The suspects were dressed in black and were wearing masks so we don’t have a description of them; however we believe that a dark coloured vehicle was also involved.

Enquiries are ongoing; officers are urging anyone with any information about the incident to call us on 101, quoting incident number 822 of 10 March 2018. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

101 is the number to call when you need to contact Nottinghamshire Police and it’s less urgent than a 999 call. Calls cost 15p, no matter how long the call lasts.
