Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Independent Advisory Group

Share by emailShare by email

What does the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT)  Independent Advisory Group do?

The purpose of this meeting is to develop and improve active community consent, trust, confidence and participation of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities in local policing.

There are two groups, one serving the North Nottinghamshire community and the main Nottinghamshire Police LGBT IAG. Members raise the concerns of the LGBT communities about policing issues, so we can ensure local policing service meets their needs.

Who are the members?

The group acts as a forum where members of the public and representatives from health services, universities and youth work can discuss issues with the police, Nottingham City Council Community Protection and the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office.

Who is the chair?

The chair is Superintendent Ted Antill.

Supt Antill can be contacted at ted.antill@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk or through the City Division Secretaries on csoffice@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk.

The contact for the North Notts group is Chris Thompson.

Chris can be contacted at chris.thompson@nottinghamshire.pnn.police.uk  or 07809 689755.
